The Canadian College Baseball Conference opened their second day of competition this morning (May 10th) at Norbrock Stadium. With 4 games scheduled for the day, teams were ready for some intense battles where they would start seeing teams fall in the modified double knockout format of the weekend's events. At 10 am the University of Fraser Valley Cascades took the field against the Vancouver Island University Mariners. The winning pitcher for the Cascades, Dylan Emmons (Vernon, BC) gave up 6 hits, however, the Mariners were unable to convert that into and runs and were shut out in a 7-0 loss, ending their run at the CCBC championship
